The National Cyber Security Publicity Week of 2020 is from September 14 to 20 and September 15 is named as Campus Day. Network and Informatization Office has successfully carried out various cyber security publicity activities in schools.
We have actively prepared and deployed ahead of time. In line with the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, various forms of cyber security publicity activities should be carried out in online and offline ways. On September 11, Network and Informatization Office, Network and Computing Center, combined with School of Cyber Science and Engineering, issued the “Notice on Launching the 2020 Cyber Security Publicity Week” in HUST on Wechat, encouraging students to participate actively in the “Joint Youth , Guard Safety” online public class and “2020 National College Student Cyber Security Knowledge Contest" ( from September 10 to October 31)，to stimulate students' interest in acquiring cyber security knowledge and to improve their skills in cyber security protection.
A series of activities have been successfully carried out, such as lectures on cyber security, a website on cyber security, a contest for cyber security knowledge, on-site activities in the community, etc.
Based on the theme of this publicity week, "Cyber security is for the people and depends on the people", various forms of cyber security publicity and education were carried out. The Cyber Security Publicity Week of HUST has been concluded successfully. Through a combination of online and offline methods, faculty and students participate in various activities, through which achieved a good popularization education and publicity effect and improved their security awareness effectively.
