On the morning of February 15, 2023, Vice President Zhan Yiqing visited the Network and Computing Center in the South Six Building to investigate the work related to cyber security and informatization of the university.
President Zhan Yiqing visited the Smart Campus Operation and Management Center. Wang Shixian, Director of the Network and Informatization Office, Secretary of CPC General Branch and Director of the Network and Computing Center, reported and demonstrated the progress and application of important information platforms such as the data board system, "A Form" platform and Smart Campus Operation and Management Center.
After listening carefully to the work report and the difficulties existing in the current network information work, President Zhan Yiqing said that our university had achieved remarkable progress in the development and application of information technology during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, and had completed the "Ten Ones" project successfully and realized the digitalization of work. Now, we have entered the stage of data application. Therefore, we need to further implement the digitalization of work, make full use of data and provide a scientific basis for the decision making of the university via data analysis.
President Zhan Yiqing put forward several requirements for the network information work in the future. First, the time efficiency and data accuracy should be ensured. The authoritative department that generates data should ensure the routine maintenance and verification of data and be responsible for data accuracy. Second, we should realize "A Form" management of personal assets, including office rooms, furniture, devices, software, etc. Third, we should strengthen the development of integrated budget platform to achieve the functions of demand analysis, incremental analysis and duplicate checking upon the requirements of higher authorities, and transform the previous expenditure-based performance management model to the project-based performance management model. Fourth, the project management should be re-organized and the classified management of projects should be implemented according to project categories.
Finally, President Zhan Yiqing pointed out that we should conduct orderly various tasks in the network information work according to the "Three-capability Improvement Plan" of the Information Technology Development Planning for the 14th Five-year Plan Period, and provide support via information technologies to realize the overall objective of building a world-class university.
