On the morning of March 17, Network and Informatization Office organized a video conference for the second batch of information project demonstration in 2020. Five off-campus IT experts have been invited, through video conference mode of network to observe and analyze. Four projects from Network and Computing Center, Laboratory and Equipment Management Office, Archives Center were demonstrated respectively.
The video conference started at 9 am, and the reporter from the project application unit reported the necessity, main content and budget of the informatization project through PPT. And the experts inquired in turn online, and the reporter answered the questions. After the reporter left the meeting room, the experts had a thorough discussion, and issued their opinions and signed online. The entire meeting was videotaped.
In order to ensure the normal progress of informatization construction during the epidemic prevention and control period, especially to ensure the construction of informatization projects related to epidemic prevention and control, Network and Informatization Office adopted video conferencing to conduct project demonstrations for the first time.
In order to facilitate epidemic prevention and control by means of information technology, since the outbreak of the epidemic, Network and Informatization Office and the Network and Computing Center have actively carried out a number of information construction in cooperation with relevant departments, including expanding the capacity of VPN system to satisfy the needs of staff and students visiting the campus electronic resources and information system outside the campus. A special website on epidemic prevention and control has been built to provide a platform for relevant departments of the university to release authoritative information related to the epidemic. Also, a health information reporting system has been built for a full grasp of the daily health status of faculty and students, and has combined data formats with the epidemic reporting platform of the Ministry of Education. A trusted electronic report card system has been built to provide online application and processing services for students such as going abroad or seeking for a job. Besides, Network and Informatization Office has completed the data docking with the Super Star Learning Pass and other platforms to ensure "delayed start of school, start classes on time". And certain technical support for video conferencesis also provided, such as Huawei's Welink video conferencing platform.
