On the afternoon of October 29th, the 14th Five-Year Information Development Planning symposium hosted by Vice President Liang Qian, was held in room 211 of Building 1.
Liang Qian pointed out that the formulation of the plan should be based on both the summary of the informatization work in the past 5 years，and the future ambitious goal of constructing world-class universities. It is a must to think about system construction with information thinking and informatization construction with systematic thinking; to fully investigate and understand the needs of school, management units and faculty and students, and fully consider practicability, innovation, security and stability, so as to provide important support and assistance for school’s talent training, scientific research, management services and scientific decision-making. The plan should be closely connected with the former Five Year construction to ensure the stable, high-speed and high-quality development of the university’s information work.
The participants had a heated discussion on the issues such as the development goals of, funding input, construction ideas and methods, campus network construction and services, process reengineering and management standardization, big data application and data value dig, IT team construction and etc, The symposium has collected a large number of valuable views, advice and suggestions. Network and Informatization Office will organize, study, and absorb them further into the 14th Five-Year Information Development Planning.
