On the afternoon of April 26, the demonstration meeting on "14th Five-Year" Informatization Development Plan of HUST (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan") was held at Network and Computing Center. The expert group unanimously agreed that the Plan was approved.
To ensure the scientificity and rationality of the "14th Five-Year" Informatization Development, Network and Informatization Office invited some experts to discuss the Plan through both online and offline methods. Experts from Peking University, East China Normal University, Sun Yat-sen University, Dalian University of Technology, etc., were invited to participate in the meeting online, and the directors of information centers from seven universities in Wuhan, including Wuhan University, participated the meeting on site.
Wang Shixian, director of Network and Informatization Office, reported the main sturcture and the content of the Plan. After inquiries and discussions, the expert group believed that the Plan is in line with the reality of the informatization development of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and the Plan has reasonable structure, clear goals, specific tasks and appropriate safeguards. They unanimously agreed the Plan and suggested that HUST take various guarantee measures, split up the Plan into tasks, clarify the responsible departments and unite and ensure the smooth implementation of the Plan.
Network and Informatization Office will further polish the Plan based on the suggestions of the experts and issue it as soon as possible to provide a reference to the "14th Five-Year" informatization development in China.
