On the morning of May 19, the inaugural meeting and the first meeting of the first network security and informatization expert committee of our school (hereinafter referred to as the "expert committee") was held in Network and Computing Center. Vice president Liang Qian, with all members of the first expert committee and heads of the Network and Informatization Office and the Network and Computing Center attended the meeting.
The meeting was divided into two stages. The first stage,the inaugural meeting of the expert committee, was chaired by Wang Shixian, director of the Network and Informatization Office. The second stage was the first plenary meeting of the expert committee, chaired by Professor Zhao Feng, director of the expert committee. At the inauguration meeting, Wang Shixian introduced the selection process of the first expert committee members, and announced the list of members. The first expert committee consists of 11 members. Professor Zhao Feng from the School of Computer Science and Technology serves as the director of the expert committee, and Professor Pei Xiaobing from the School of Software serves as the deputy director. Liang Qian issued letters of appointment to each committee member.
Professor Zhao Feng expressed his gratitude to the school for its trust. The committee would continue to strengthen its study and research, make full use of its professional advantages, play a key role in consulting and guiding in network security and informatization work thus to help the school improve the level of informatization continuously, and to provide the work of network informatization with strong support for the school's "double first-class" construction.
Liang Qian, expressed his congratulation on the establishment of the first expert committee. He, together with the committee members studied "Xi Jinping's Excerpts from the Discussion on Strengthening the Internet", and set forth some clear requirements for the future work of the expert committee. First, the network and informatization work should be problem-oriented and goal-oriented. The expert committee should make good use of systematic thinking in technological field; second, the information system should be convenient and usable, but also safe and reliable, which meets individual needs and the needs of the organization as well. The third is to coordinate and promote the short-term and medium-to-long-term goals of the network information work orderly, hence the expert committee must give professional guidance and advice. The fourth is to use information technology to strengthen the construction of campus culture and to enhance the school culture and atmosphere. Liang Qian hoped that the expert committee would continue to improve its systematic and operating mechanism, and continuously improve its performance level.
Professor Zhao Feng presided over the first meeting of all members of the first expert committee. The meeting reviewed and approved the "Work Regulations of the Network Security and Informatization Expert Committee of HUST", listened to the report on the school's network security and informatization construction, and deliberated the "Opinions on Strengthening Network Security and Informatization Work in the New Era of HUST ", " Network Security and Information Technology Management Regulations of HUST", "Network Security and Information Technology Project Management Measures of HUST", " Data Kanban System Construction, Operation and Maintenance Management Measures of HUST" and other rules and regulations, data center construction plans, and campus card system construction plans. It also reviewed our school's 2022 informatization project to be released from the library, inquired about the project construction plan, and the project construction unit made a defense. The members also conducted in-depth discussions on the operation mechanism of the Expert Committee.
Our school network security and informatization expert committee is a network security and informatization work consulting organization established according to the " The 14th Five-year Plan of Informatization Development of HUST" and the requirements of the school network security and informatization leading group, providing consultation, advice and review on major issues such as the development planning of informatization, the construction of major cybersecurity projects and achievement awards, and being responsible for technical checks to ensure the rationality and feasibility of school cybersecurity and informatization construction.
