Notice on Accelerating the Integration of Service Functions in Information System

To departments it may concern:

To further improve the online service experience of teachers and students, facilitate the use of internal services of various information systems, the integration of service function modules of different information systems into an online service hall as well as the realization of unified access and provision of services "in one step", the relevant matters are hereby notified as follows.

I. Background

In recent years, with the joint efforts of all departments of HUST, the informatization development progressed rapidly; many information systems have been put on line, providing convenience for teachers and students to handle various affairs online. However, due to the large number of different information systems, some service function modules of information systems designed for teachers and students have not yet been integrated into the online service hall. Teachers and students have to enter different information systems when handling affairs, left with poor experience. Some information systems lack functions such as To-do List and Progress Reminder for service processing or approval, or the To-do functions developed have not been integrated into the "To-do Center" information platform of HUST. Consequently, teachers and students have to handle affairs or query results after accessing multilevel menus of the system, which is inconvenient.

II. Basic Requirements

In order to improve the online service experience of faculty and students, the following integration requirements are proposed:

1. All function modules or services designed for teachers and students in all information systems must be integrated into the online service hall as a service process. All departments that have established information systems are required to comprehensively sort out various functional applications and approval processes in the corresponding information systems, collect the service objects, user guide, as well as corresponding direct link address and other necessary information under the protection of unified identity authentication. After sorting and classification, submit it through the "Application for Interface between Information System and Online Service Hall" process (URL: https://ehall.hust.edu.cn/infoplus/form/XTJCWSBSDTXQSB/start).

2. For systems with established To-do functions, it is necessary to integrate the To-do functions into HUST's “To-do Center” information platform. If the To-do functions are not established, the interface provided by HUST's “To-do Center” can be used to realize the functions. Please contact the Network and Computing Center directly for the relevant interface specifications and documents of the “To-do Center” information platform.

III. Other issues

1. Integration with the online service hall and “To-do center” is one of the main requirements for the integration and sharing of HUST's informatization project, and is a necessary condition for project acceptance. The Network & Informatization Office will strictly check whether it conforms to the requirements during the acceptance of informatization project.

2. All relevant departments of the information systems are required to complete the sorting and submission of materials before April 30, and the Network and Computing Center is responsible for the development.
