To meet the needs of all schools and departments for holding large-scale online conferences, HUST has purchased the Tencent Meeting (enterprise edition) service. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:
1. According to the prompts of the Tencent Meeting system, before the end of the COVID-19, an unlimited time meeting function of no more than 300 people will be opened to individual users for free, and can be used directly by clicking on the client. The Tencent Meeting (enterprise edition) service can provide 2 online meeting rooms with 500, 1,000 and 2,000 participants respectively.
2. The Tencent Meeting (enterprise edition) service improves the definition of video conferences from 720P for personal edition to 1080P for enterprise edition, and provides cloud conference recording and playback functions with unlimited storage capacity. At the same time, it supports more functions such as page layout, interactive annotation and custom background.
3. The enterprise edition and personal edition of Tencent Meeting service share the same app or PC software. To use the enterprise edition, the host needs to sign in and verify through the mobile phone number, and select the "enterprise edition" service after successful verification. In the enterprise edition, Tencent Meeting has no requirements on the account number of participants, which means that individual accounts can also join the meeting.
4. For schools and departments that need to use Tencent Meeting (enterprise edition) to hold online meetings, a specially-assigned person will be designated to sign in to the online service hall, and fill in the "Application Form for Use of Tencent Meeting Enterprise Edition of HUST" which includes the basic information such as conference theme, specific time and number of participants, and then, the administrator of the Network and Computing Center will authorize the applicant to arrange the meeting.
